Jackie Kim is an undergraduate student in Neuroscience. She came to our lab with ideas for her own project! Jackie noticed that alpha-ketoglutarate levels increase in neurons during long-term potentiation (LTP) and may facilitate TET-mediated DNA methylation. She will be validating this in neurons using live-cell imaging.
